Content Designer, EdTech Hub

The EdTech Hub is seeking an experienced full-time content designer for a period of approximately 4 months starting immediately. There is the potential that the role will continue into a longer-term role.

The EdTech Hub is building digital services to give education decision-makers access to advice and evidence about the use of technology in education. Planned features include an interactive “EdTech Playbook” that will get users to the information that is right for them given their context, a filterable database of EdTech tools and initiatives, and basic pages for sharing content in blog and other static formats.

We are seeking a content designer with 5+ years of experience. They will be responsible for understanding the various types of content produced by the Hub’s research, innovation, and engagement teams, developing workflow for each type, and ensuring that content is simple, clear and written in plain language so that users receive the information that they need and know what to do with it. We are interested in content designers who have experience conducting user research.

The content designer will review content to make sure it’s accurate, relevant and follows style guide standards. They will work closely with subject matter experts to continuously improve written copy. 

Essential attributes: Adaptability, strong user research skills, a solid understanding of search engine optimisation, the ability to be focused, the ability to meet deadlines, strong writing skills, comfortable editing, editing, and more editing.
