Sam Wilson

Brief info

Role: I’m a research assistant with the EdTech Hub and will become an EdTech ODI fellow from Spring 2021. A highlight so far has been working on the #SaveOurFuture campaign as an author on the background paper on EdTech and the Covid-19 response. My areas of interest include education in emergencies, rural education, and the intersection between education, migration, and climate change.

Background: Before the EdTech Hub I completed my BA and MA at the University of Leeds, specialising in refugee education in Lebanon. I also worked as a researcher at the Leeds Centre for Global Development looking at technology and on nomadic education and was a singing teacher across Yorkshire for 7 years. I also work in an environmental law consultancy, Wyeside Consulting, and help run the climate blog COP26andbeyond

Fun Fact: I’m a singer-songwriter.
