Brief info

Role: I’m a Research Director in the Hub, and a Professor of Teacher Development and Pedagogical Innovation at University of Cambridge. My particular responsibilities include leadership of the ‘Teachers’ theme and convening the Hub’s Advisory Pool.

Background: I’ve worked in the field of EdTech for over three decades now, focusing particularly on professional development, teacher inquiry, and interactive pedagogy, including in sub-Saharan Africa (e.g. www.oer4schools.org). I also co-lead the interdisciplinary Cambridge Educational Dialogue Research (CEDiR) group and am an Editor of the British Journal of Educational Technology.

Fun Fact: I do Egyptian dance.
