Brief info

Role: As an Innovation and Country Lead (Kenya) at EdTech Hub, I support teams to test and grow Edtech interventions using the Sandbox approach. I am passionate about education being a transformative tool in Africa and I love that we get to contribute to the Education sector by using iterative and human centred approaches to test and refine promising interventions and increase their chances of success and impact.

Background: Before joining the hub I worked as a consultant in the social impact space in East Africa. I helped social entrepreneurs build teams, create structures and strategize for growth and sustainability. I am also a proud Acumen East Africa Fellow and part of the vibrant and impact-driven Acumen community.

Fun Fact: In Kenya today, my name Wanjiku is used to represent the Kenyan citizen, "Mwananchi" in Swahili, in constitutional and political discourse. So my name comes up in a lot of conversations :-)
