Exploring the role of EdTech in low- and middle-income countries

From 22 to 26 March 2025, EdTech Hub is excited to take part in the 69th annual conference of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES). This year’s event brings together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to explore key challenges in education, spanning early childhood, primary, secondary, higher, and lifelong learning.

As part of these discussions, we will be sharing insights from our latest research on the role of technology in education. More specifically, our work focuses on low and middle-income countries (LMICs), where digital tools present opportunities to expand access to quality learning, particularly for marginalised learners. By examining what works, and what does not, we aim to help policymakers, educators, and funders make informed, evidence-based decisions that drive meaningful change. Furthermore, we will highlight how EdTech can address persistent challenges in education, ensuring that no learner is left behind.
