Join us for a dynamic two-hour dialogue bringing policymakers and providers into conversation on the future of EdTech in Southeast Asia. We’ll explore priorities, challenges, and opportunities for scaling equitable and sustainable digital education, while sharing insights from EdTech Hub’s newly published landscape analysis and pre-launching a series of focused topic briefs, as part of the ASEAN-UK SAGE Programme.

Meet the panelists

Dr. Irsyad Zamjani is the Director of the Center for Education Standards and Policy (PSKP) at the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Indonesia.

In terms of EdTech work, he is leading PSKP’s oversight of the Ministry’s Education Scorecard (Rapor Pendidikan) platform, which aims to spearhead evidence-based policymaking, particularly by collecting and using key education data to improve the teaching and learning of foundational skills at the primary and early secondary levels.

Gerson Abesamis is the Director of the Bureau of Learning and Delivery at the Department of Education, Philippines.

Gerson Abesamis is an educator and designer who takes a human-centered approach to shaping learning experiences and environments. He leads efforts to ensure access to education, promote equity, and improve the quality of basic education across the Philippines.

Kimberly Mae “Kim” Garcia is the Manager of the Education Governance Team at The Asia Foundation, Philippines.

Kim is the Manager of the Education Governance Team at The Asia Foundation, Philippines. She oversees programs such as the Let’s Read digital library and Reform-Ed, supporting education agencies to strengthen governance and improve learning outcomes in the early grades.

Puan Aniza binti Kamarulzaman is the Director of the Educational Resources and Technology Division at the Ministry of Education, Malaysia.

Aniza leads the integration of technology into Malaysia’s education system, developing digital learning resources and platforms, shaping policies that promote inclusive technology use, and partnering with global organizations to bring best practices to the country. Under her leadership, the Ministry has launched successful digital learning programs and organized training to help educators integrate technology into their teaching.

Steffina Yuli is the Chief Business Officer of Kipin, Indonesia’s leading EdTech platform delivering digital education to students in even the most remote areas.

Steffina Yuli is Chief Business Officer at Kipin, Indonesia’s leading EdTech platform bringing digital education to over 3,000 schools and reaching more than one million students and 350,000 teachers, even in remote areas without internet. A Yale graduate and Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia honouree, she has worked at Boston Consulting Group and Tokopedia, and is a published children’s author passionate about inclusive, technology-driven education across Southeast Asia.

Travis Stewart is an EdTech entrepreneur and leader with over 15 years of experience in the APAC market.

Travis Stewart is a leader with over 15 years’ experience building and scaling EdTech businesses across the Asia-Pacific region. He has helped grow one of Vietnam’s leading online education platforms, expanded a network to over 120 English language centres, and secured seven-figure Series A funding for an EdTech venture. An entrepreneur at heart, he launched a profitable EdTech startup and led a 500% scale-up during the pandemic. Travis has also supported UNESCO education projects in Thailand and Myanmar, bringing deep insight into the opportunities and challenges of Asia’s EdTech landscape.

From October 2025 to March 2026, we will host a series of spotlight sessions that will explore key EdTech topics in Southeast Asia — including strategic partnerships, governance and regulation, ethical AI applications, and more.
