FAST FACTS

AI in education will widen the learning divide unless we design for the alternative now. Many education ministries struggle to easily assess the effectiveness and safety of AI interventions, nor do they have comprehensive regulations and policies to meet this moment.

To tackle these challenges the AI Observatory and Action Lab aims to identify unmet requirements in product trustworthiness, policy development, and funding needs. In doing so, the AI Observatory and Action Lab aims to cut through the hype and lack of evidence around effective and equitable AI and builds on EdTech Hub’s mission to empower decision makers with evidence.

We scan AI trends, test real-world applications, provide tailored guidance, benchmark tools and synthesise insights to support education decision makers with timely, practical evidence on AI in education.
